Auto-IT Pty Ltd is an Australian owned
and operated software developer and marketer, servicing the
automotive, trucking, agriculture and construction equipment
industries with specialised dealer management software systems that
operate retail dealerships.
The company was formed in 2000 as a result of a merger between two
respected dealer management software system suppliers, KGM
Management and Newmans Information Services.
Auto-IT employs 70 staff and is the second largest dealer management
system supplier in Australia and New Zealand.
Our experienced staff has more than 30 years of combined industry
experience. Most have worked in dealerships in a variety of roles,
as well as in IT, software development, finance and management
positions. They know and understand the key factors that drive a
successful dealership and have translated those factors into
sophisticated and highly effective software systems that are
instrumental in our clients’ ability to operate their dealerships at
peak performance levels.
Our clients’ success during the past
30 years has helped to drive our own business growth. More than
10,000 licensed users in over 800 dealer locations currently use our
software systems in locations as wide apart as Australia, New
Zealand, USA, Canada, Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Fiji, and South
Africa.
As at January 2008, Auto-IT Pty Ltd’s average monthly growth rate,
based on last year’s figures, was 250 new licensees of its software
products per month. With offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane,
Kuala Lumpur and Wellington, and Channel Partners in South Africa
and the Asia Pacific region, Auto-IT is in a strong position to
further expand the business.

Auto-IT’s core product range consists of two Windows®-based programs
and one Linux-based program:
• Windows®-based UNITS™ – tailored to the needs of the retail
automotive dealer industry
• Windows®-based EQUIP™ – specifically designed to cater to the
needs of retail dealers in the trucking, agriculture and
construction industries
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) based PMDS™ – one of our longest serving products, tailored
to large automotive and trucking industries in Australia and New
Zealand.

IBS Asia Pacific
- In 2007, IBS Asia Pacific and Auto-IT formed an alliance to
extend the potential reach of their information technology
offering to automotive and allied industries.
IBS develops and markets supply chain software at the
manufacturing and wholesale end for niche industries such as
pharmaceutical, publishing, food and consumer goods, in addition
to the automotive vertical market. Auto-IT develops and markets
quality retail dealership management software systems.
The partnership allows IBS to extend its reach beyond the
Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and distributor clientele
through to the dealership marketplace. For Auto-IT it is an
opportunity to offer distributor owned dealerships a seamless
view of the entire supply chain, from manufacturer to user.

South Africa – The principals of AKNT have been supplying
systems to the automotive marketplace in South Africa since
1985.

a wealth of industry knowledge and experience and their key
